Blog No.2 (Ozzie Cable Parks)
hey Crew,

so here we are blog No.2 it feels like i have been writting these for years so in this blog i am going to talk about some of the ozzie cable that are open and hopefully soon to be.
So firstly i will start from the top, Cable Ski Cairns with 10 obsticals in the lake, the Great Barrier Reef and Dantree Rainforest on its doorstep its a great place for that family getaway or just a great place to hang out! with owener Clayton Dunn at the helm of the park there is never a dull moment the team there are awesome always pushing the riding to the limits for any one how has been there you know what i mean there are some many little rippers that are pushing the sport. on any given day its not unlikely to see a heelside 900 or crowmobe 540. so you guys over on the northen side of the world looking for some where to spend the winter Cairns is a must see! and the crew will be more then happy to take you under there wing and show you a good time.
Secondly we have Suncoast Watersports Complex A.K.A. Bli Bli Ski 'N' Skurf with a mass of obsticals From the HUGE funbox to the basic flat box with the white sandy beachs that Australia is known for only minutes away for all your surfing needs. Bli Bli is the oldest park of the 3 in oz so they know what there doing with an awesome cafe' always serving up great food and riders like Scotty Green & Fish Farm always on the water you will always have a good show to watch. There are a lot of wakeskaters around to its no wonder with all there wakeskate friendly rails! so its worth checking out for sure.
So last but not least we have Cable Ski Logan, owend and operated by Sue & Peter Wilkings the park is in between the beautiful Gold Coast & Brisbane so there is plenty to do around the place. with 7 obsticals in the lake and amazing pull from the cable logan is a great ride.
Onto the cables of tomorrow.
Sadly over the last few years Australia has lost a few of its cable parks with Gold Coast, Penrith & Perth all closing down. But this has opened a door to a new breed of cable wakeparks to come in and replace the older ski based parks!
with the talk of cables poping up all aroud there is a very good chance there will be alot more international events here and just that many more ozzie rippers so with some of these parks possiable being open around x-mas 2010 its good alot of people waiting to go check them out! so hopefully all goes to plan and i might see you cutting some laps on one of these new parks as i find out the progress and locations ill keep you posted
any way crew im off to go film some of the crew down at cable ski cairns so till next time
get on the board and enjoy
peace
ps. that pic is of cable ski cairns i took it one afternoon as the sun was setting behind the mountain
